Prof. Chao Xi
Visiting Professor
Chao Xi is Professor and Outstanding Fellow of the Faculty of Law, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, He is concurrently Associate Dean (Research) and Head of the Graduate Division of Law of the Law Faculty. Professor Xi specializes in comparative corporate law and governance, securities regulation, and financial regulation, with a particular focus on the case of China. He has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed international journals. His research has received significant funding support from the Hong Kong SAR Government Research Grants Council, the PRC Ministry of Education, and the Government of India, the Sumitomo Foundation. Professor Xi is recipient of the prestigious CUHK Research Excellence Award 2009 and the CUHK Young Researcher Award 2011. He is also a dedicated and accomplished teacher, winning the CUHK Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award twice in 2010 and 2017.
