Dr. Jasper Vikas
Assistant Professor
Dr. Jasper Vikas graduated in law from Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi in 2001. Afterwards, he joined the Bar and practiced in various fields of law such as civil, criminal, matrimonial and corporate, and appeared before various courts, judicial and quasi-judicial forums such as the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, various District and Sessions Courts, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, State Commissions, District Consumer Redressal Forums, the Company Law Board, Labour Courts and the TDSAT. He pursued his Masters of Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi in 2005, and was awarded a Ph.D. in “Rights of Persons with Disability: Legislative and Judicial Trends” by Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) in 2011. He holds diploma in Cyber Laws.
Prior to joining National Law University, Delhi in December 2013, he taught various subjects such as Taxation Laws, Criminal Laws, Torts, Intellectual Property Laws and Clinical Legal Education at Law Centre-I, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
He was part of the Editorial Committee of the Journal of Law Teachers of India (JOLT-I) for two successive years. Besides organizing various seminars and conferences such as the first ever Indian Australian Advocacy two day Workshop on Trial Advocacy Skills at the University of Delhi, he has also presented papers at various national and international conferences on contemporary legal issues.
