Dr. Daniel Mathew
Associate Professor
Daniel specialises in Dispute Resolution and Human Rights. His academic and research interests include dispute resolution, commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, human rights, legal education, International Humanitarian Law, and law and economics.
Prior to joining National Law University Delhi, Daniel was a member of faculty at the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) as Assistant Professor since 2009. He taught courses on Alternate Dispute Resolution, Human Rights, International Commercial Arbitration, Investment Arbitration, and International Humanitarian Law.
Before joining academics, Daniel was a practicing advocate for three years before various forums including Supreme Court and High Court of Delhi. He had the occasion of working on matters in diverse areas including Constitutional Law, administrative law, contract law, arbitration law, and matrimonial law.
Daniel was the faculty advisor for Moot Court Society and the Cyber Committee at NUJS. At NLUD he is currently serving as member of the Sexual Harassment Committee, Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies and Curriculum Development Committee.
